Closed "X" markings (AGA 5.6, CARs 301.04(8)):

- Lighted X within 75 m of threshold: can mark temporary full-length runway closure.
- Snow-covered or temporary closures: Xs may use conspicuously coloured dye.

Trap: closed helicopter FATO X is white like a runway's, but closed helicopter parking position X is yellow like a taxiway's.
