RSC report scope and format
CRFI reporting at aerodromes with air transport operations under CARs Part VII Subpart 5:

| 1 829 m (6,000 ft) or longer | Runway thirds (TC AIM AIR 1.6.4) |
| Shorter | Full runway length by default; thirds only where equipped (TC AIM AIR 1.6.4) |
- Thirds: runway condition code (RWYCC) reported per third, scale 0 to 6 (TC AIM AIR 1.6.5).
- RWYCC 0 = most slippery. RWYCC 6 = dry runway performance.
Depth reporting:

Taxiway and apron info: not mandatory, include if it affects safe operations.
CRFI portion titled ADDN NON-GRF/TALPA INFO:, in order:
- Title (CRFI)
- Runway number
- Temperature in °C
- CRFI reading (full runway length or thirds)
- Observation time: 10-digit UTC date-time group (
YYMMDDHHMM)
Trap: measured depth under 1/8 in. is not omitted; report as 1/8 in.
