Weather radar
Weather radar (TC AIM MET 1.3.9.1):
- Shows precipitation within 150 NM.
- Cannot detect turbulence. Turbulence in very heavy rain is generally much more severe than in light rain.
- ECCC and DND radars report precipitation echo tops and reflectivity.
- Image updates roughly every 10 min.
- Colour composite on CFPS.
Trap: radar shows precipitation, not turbulence.
